I have flown with some amazing Flight Engineers during my 24 years in the RAF. Fortune-ately for me, I had the privilege of flying Special Forces C130s with Tom for 5 years in the late 1980s and I can honestly say that Tom was THE best! His calmness under pressure, professionalism and his wicked sense of humour were second to none! It was an honour to fly with him and I am so saddened by his loss.
